A graduate of St Louis University School of Law, Kristy is an attorney licensed in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar and the Illinois ARDC.

Before receiving her law license, Kristy worked nearly fifteen years as a paralegal in Springfield, Illinois, for law firms, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and for the Illinois Death Penalty Trial Assistance Office.   Her death penalty trial work allowed her the opportunity to consult with a number of nationally known legal experts including Dr. Werner Spitz, Dr. Michael Baden, Dr. Henry Lee, Richard Ofshe, Richard Leo, and Attorney Barry Scheck.

As an attorney, Kristy uses her wide range of legal skills and life experience to zealously represent clients in cases involving divorce, custody, visitation, maintenance, child support, orders of protection, restraining orders, and guardianships.  

Kristy is a Illinois State Bar Certified mediator, whose patience, understanding, and calm demeanor helps to keep the emotionally-charged parties focused on the issues, so that they can reach a settlement that is a win-win for everyone.

Kristy is also recognized as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Second and Fourth Judicial Circuit. 

Kristy is an active advocate for victims of domestic violence.  She is available to speak to groups about the various ways a community can stop the violence against children, teens, the elderly, and individuals with special needs.
