Many factors affect the ultimate cost of a family law case, including the number of contested issues, the size of the marital estate and the emotional mindset that invariably drives each party. But while it is difficult to predict total case costs, we are focused on being creative problem solvers.

We will have consistent and open communication with you about financial matters throughout your case in an honest and mutually respectful fashion. Our priority is to minimize fees while achieving the best results.

When you become a client of our firm, you will be asked to pay a retainer that will vary in amount depending on the issues in your case. As we work on your case, or costs are incurred on your behalf, money to cover those fees and costs will be drawn from your retainer account. A bill detailing the work completed on your case will be sent to you each month so that you always know the balance in your account.

If your retainer is exhausted before your case is finished, you will need to replenish your account. The amount requested will be based on the current status of your case and an estimate of future services required.

When all issues in your case are resolved, any unused portion of the retainer will be returned to you.
